Here at Leonica Cosmetics, we get a lot of questions about achieving clear skin. As such, we decided to create a 7 Steps regimes one can follow to attain the skin of their dreams.
It is important to know that what we consume is just as important, if not more important, to achieve clear and beautiful skin.
Step 1- Consuming enough water.
We know water seems redundant. Of course, water is essential, but the question is, "why is water important?" Water is crucial because it flushes out your system. Without the proper water intake, the toxins stay within your body. Drinking the recommended eight glasses of water will also increase your skin's elasticity, reduce wrinkles, pimples and scars. As such, its daily intake is crucial!
Step 2 - Pineapple
One may be confused that we mentioned Pineapple. Some may ask," Pineapple, what does that have to do with anything?" Believe it or not, Pineapple contains an enzyme called Bromelain, which makes this fruit anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant. These three combinations make eating Pineapple the perfect food for flushing and removing acne from one's skin.
Step 3- Papaya
Papaya is high in Chymopapain and Papain enzymes that also assist in removing any toxin from your body. The consumption of papaya promotes the healing of the skin due to its enzyme properties and its richness in Vitamin A, B and C.
Step 4- Lay off Dairy
We know, we know, dairy is a hard pill for many people to swallow. The problem we're facing with dairy is that most dairy is extracted from cows pumped with somatotropin hormones. Humans then consume that milk. That consumption then imbalances our hormones which then give us acne, pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads. It is with this knowledge why dairy is the main food one should stay off of to achieve maximum clear skin.
Step 5- Having an enzyme surplus.
Before diving into enzymes, it is important to know their function. In everyone's body, enzymes are used to digest our food and heal and rejuvenate our bodies. If too many enzymes are used in digestion, not much is left to rejuvenate our organs and cells. As expressed by Dr. Maxwell Nartey in his book "The Downside of Nutrition Part 1," the key is to consume food that requires 22,000 enzymes or less to digest. Unfortunately, food such as corn and oats requires up to 110,000 enzymes to digest. However, with food such as broccoli, bok choy, collard greens, brussels sprout, quinoa, couscous, chicken, and fish, to name a few, your body will be left at an enzyme surplus, leaving you with the necessary enzymes to replenish and rejuvenate your skin. This means the removal of acne, pimple, blackheads, and whiteheads.
Let us know if you'd like us to go deeper into the foods one should consume that would leave your body with an enzyme surplus.
Step 6- You are what you eat.
It's important to know that your body creates new skin every 30 days. This new skin is made out of the food and nutrients you provided it with. So 30 days of following the regime of:
1. Increasing your daily intake of water
2. Eating Pineapple
3. Eating Papaya
4. Staying away from Diary
5. Eating food that will leave your body with an enzyme surplus.
With these steps, you will leave your skin plump, rejuvenated and glowing.
Step 7- Using a deep cleanser.
It is vital to have a deep cleanser and a daily cleanser.
